I Was Cheated on by My Girlfriend but My Devilish Junior Now Yearns for Me V1 Afterword

Afterword

For those of you starting with the book version, it’s a pleasure to meet you. My name is Omiya Yuu.

For those who have been reading the web version, it’s been a while. It’s me, Mii-san.

Thank you very much for picking up this work.

This work is a revised and amended version of the web version that was posted on the novel submission sites “Kakuyomu” and “Shousetsuka ni Narou,” now published as a book.

…This is sudden, but what image does Christmas hold for all of you?

Recently, many people might answer that it’s a day to spend with a significant other. Another common answer I’d expect would be a day to celebrate the birth of Christ… something like that, perhaps.

For me, Christmas is all about Santa-san. On Christmas Eve, I’d fall asleep with my heart pounding in anticipation of Santa-san’s visit, and in the morning, there would be a present by my pillow…. I don’t get presents anymore, but I still remember that feeling of excitement. I have to show my gratitude to the Santa-san who left me with such wonderful memories when I go back home.

Christmas holds a different image for everyone, but I think what’s common is the feeling of it being out of the ordinary.

Just having a few days in a year where you can experience this extraordinary feeling makes the calendar much more colorful, doesn’t it? I’ve been thinking recently that the reason couples in the world celebrate anniversaries is to add color to their daily lives.

Perhaps everyone, in one way or another, is trying to incorporate a sense of the extraordinary into their daily lives. The result of that might just be the Christmas we have today.

I started writing this work with the hope that it could become like that Christmas—a small, extraordinary touch to add to your everyday life.

To think that it would be published as a paperback like this. I myself am very surprised.

It all started with a web novel contest held on Kakuyomu.

I received a special award and was able to make my debut with Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko.

From here, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who was involved in my debut.

To my editor, who kindly consulted with me during the revision process. To the proofreading staff who gave me numerous suggestions. To the sales staff and everyone in the editorial department. Thank you so much for all your help.

And also, to Eru-sensei, who drew the illustrations. When my editor sent me the illustrations for the first time, I was so moved that a strange voice came out of me. Thank you for breathing life into the characters.

Lastly, to all the readers who have picked up this book and have even read through to the afterword.

It is literally thanks to all of you, the readers, that I am able to write this work. Thank you so very much.

For those who want to see the little devil kouhai again. For those who want to see the beautiful but bad friend again. For those who are curious about what happens next.

I would be happy if you could recommend this work to many people!

Well then, it’s about time.

I will conclude this afterword while praying that I can meet you all again in the second volume.

…I wonder if I did a good job writing my first afterword.
